- Sinks to clean your BYO containers
- Lots of power points to charge your devices
- A pool and foosball tables
- A variety of places to sit – including desks and couches
- Informal spaces to meet with friends or study groups
- Great views over Symonds and Alfred Streets
If you haven’t already, be sure to stop by and check it out.
ESports Arena
ESports is an increasingly popular and competitive sport across the globe.
The University of Auckland recently built an ESports Arena gaming lab with 22 high-spec gaming computers, eight consoles, and world-class streaming equipment.
Our mission is to make the space available for all University of Auckland students to support ESports activities; from academic integration to student club support. We are determined to lead the Asia-Pacific ESports scene by providing high-performance e-athletes a space to play, practice, and compete. A blessing was held at the new ESports Arena on 28 September and since then students have been enjoying the use of the space. For more information and to book in, visit the website.

New food on campus!
We know how important it is to fuel your mind and body for studies, which is why we have a wide range of meals and cuisines available at our on-campus retailers.
This year, we introduced two new retailers to campus – both located in the Food Court at City Campus.
One of Auckland’s favourite vegan bakeries, Tart, opened in Semester One with great fanfare and customers loyal to their other branches heading along to get their favourite sandwiches, pastries, and sweet treats.
Later on this year, we also welcomed Nick’s Kitchen. Nick serves poke bowls, lumpia, and other Filipino cuisine including Turon, which is a traditional Filipino desert / snack.
It’s great to welcome these new retailers to campus, and if you haven’t already, be sure to check them out!
This year we also launched Thursday Treats, which highlights a special one day offer available to students at one of our retailers. And in case you missed out there, we made more ongoing promos and deals available on our website, so there’s always chance to get more bang for your buck at one of our retailers.
We hope you enjoy our new retailers to campus, and if you haven’t yet – be sure to take advantage of one of our many retail deals!
