Inter-Residential Championship

Less than a month after students moved into University Accommodation in February, they began the year-long quest to bring home the Inter-Residential Championship Trophy. Their first tournament had teams from each hall and residence playing Futsal and the Waipārūrū Wasps took home the win. With this initial victory, the Wasps were fired up and strove to win almost every tournament thereafter! 

This year’s Inter-Residential Championship featured events in:

Volleyball – Winner: Waipārūrū Hall

Futsal – Winner: Waipārūrū Hall

Debating – Winner: Waipārūrū Hall

eGaming – Winner: University Hall – Towers 

Green Your Room – Winner: O’Rorke Hall 

Basketball – Winner: Waipārūrū Hall

Quiz – Winner: Waipārūrū Hall

Talent Quest – Winner: Grafton Hall and Student Flats 

In addition to these tournaments, two additional games in Touch Rugby and Kī o Rahi was played between just first-year halls. O’Rorke Hall won both games. Congratulations to the winners and every kainoho | resident who showed up to represent their Accommodation community in friendly games!
